  • Welcome to the Afghan Children's Fund Website

Afghan Children's Fund (ACF) is a nonprofit organization created to raise funds in order to provide basic necessities to orphans and those most in need in war-torn Afghanistan. ACF programs are directed towards the provision of medical, educational and social support of children of Afghanistan in desperate need.

As you may know, after more than 20 years of war, over two million Afghan children have been orphaned. As a result of the Russian invasion, more than 400,000 Afghan children are left maimed because of land mines. More than one million are suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome. One out of every four Afghan children die before the age of five. More than 50% of the Afghan population is less than 18 years of age with almost no education. They are innocent victims of bloodshed and the most vulnerable targets of drug dealers, warlords and terrorist networks.

It may seem a monumental task, yet our goal is to educate, feed, and care for our Afghan children so that they can lead productive lives rather than become a burden on society. We will provide them with relief, especially in remote areas where no other international or outside assistance is available. Every child deserves the basic human rights of a safe home, education, health care, food and clothing. It is our responsibility, and the responsibility of people everywhere, to ensure that every child has these basic rights.
